Dear Parents,
Welcome to KINDERGARTEN at St. Charles Borromeo School! I am looking forward to spending this year teaching kindergarten at St. Charles. I grew up here in Chippewa Falls and graduated from MACS many years ago. I went to U.W. Stout where we graduated with degrees in education and after many years of teaching children, I still look forward to that first day of school! It is going to be a WONDERFUL year.
This letter is long, however, it has very important information in it that you will need to be aware of. The following newsletters will be very short and in the form of a “newspaper”. I realize that you are very busy and want to use your time as efficiently as possible and help you in any way that I can.
I would like everyone to keep and use the FAITH (For Assignments and Information That Helps) binder that is being sent home. In this FAITH binder you will find a folder that will be used for notes to and from school. On the right side, you will see things that need to come “RIGHT BACK” and on the left side you will see things to be “LEFT AT HOME”. This will be called the “home folder”. It will travel back and forth every day in the FAITH binder and will be another way of communicating with each other. Please check it every night for notes and homework. Classroom notes and school bulletins will be sent home in this binder on a regular basis. These items and conversations with your child will keep you informed of our daily events. I will send a classroom calendar home at the beginning of each month letting you know our upcoming plans, homework, words to know, etc. If you need to send a note to me, let your child know it will be in the home folder so they can give it to the teacher when they arrive the next morning.
SCHOOL BEGINS – at 7:50 and is dismissed is at 2:25. Your child will be able to come to the classroom at 7:30am. The time before 7:30 is used to prepare for the upcoming day. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

RELIGION – Prayer and stories about Jesus’ life will be an important part of these daily lessons. Each week one of the area priests and I will be helping your child prepare for mass on Sunday by sharing and discussing the Gospel. This year we will be celebrating mass at school on Fridays at 8:30am. You are always welcome to join us. A copy of the prayers that your child will need to know before the end of the school year are located in the FAITH binder and on this website under "religion".
